The Saline High School ACT score portion of the Michigan Merit Exam released by the State of Michigan on Thursday, August 7th showed considerable improvement over last year’s results. Overall, Saline High School students had an average ACT composite score of a 23.0, which was a 0.9 point improvement over last year’s average.
As a school district, the Saline Area Schools ranked sixth (6th) out of the 601 public school districts and academies in the State of Michigan, placing its district score in the top one percent in the state. Last year, the district was fifteenth (15th) in the state.
The Saline Area Schools district had the highest ACT scores in Washtenaw County.
In terms of individual high school ranking, Saline High School ranked fifteenth (15th) out of the 839 high schools in the State of Michigan. This places its ranking in the 98th percentile of Michigan high schools. Last year, Saline High School was 25th ranked in the state.
At Saline High School, we are proud to continue our tradition of providing rigorous instruction and ensuring students master difficult course content. This 0.9 increase in our ACT score portion of the MME is the direct result of our commitment to excellent teaching and learning. This information is extremely valuable and affords us meaningful trend data with which to carefully hone and refine the instructional program at Saline High School.
