More about Judy Hayes...

 

 

The 2005-06 school year will mark Mrs. Hayes' sixth year teaching in the Saline Band Program. Her teaching includes 5th grade woodwinds, 6th grade woodwinds, and 7th grade band. She team teaches with Cara Boden, Rebekah Allmand, Titus King, & John Mason. Mr. and Mrs. Hayes reside in Ann Arbor with their favorite four-legged puppy dog, Luey. They are expecting a baby in mid-October, 2005. Mrs. Hayes will be taking a maternity leave in mid-October and returning to teach in Saline in mid-March.

Judy Hayes received her Bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). After two years working in the administration at the University, she returned to U of M for a master's degree in saxophone performance where she studied with saxophonist, Donald Sinta. She spent 14 summers at the Interlochen Arts Camp where she worked for the University of Michigan's All-State Program. She was the music director at St. Thomas School in Ann Arbor for two years before coming to Saline. Mrs. Hayes also performs in a wedding reception band known as 'Jukebox' with other band directors from the area. Mrs. Hayes continues to perform and loves teaching music!
