Welcome to First Grade! I hope you are as excited about school as I am. In first grade we will learn many things. We will work hard but have lots of fun, too.
Every morning is Literacy time. We will have lots of learning centers followed by Writer's Workshop.
Math is one of my favorite subjects. We will do LOTS of math! You will have a home link almost every night and play many math games.
In Social Studies, we will learn about Families, Our Community, Famous Americans, and participate in Junior Achievement taught by a Saline High School student.
The two science units we will study are Plants & Animals and Weather.
As you can see, we are going to have a busy year!
