Based on the examples you
have heard and seen in class, you will be creating your own Five Themes Game
Card. The instructions below are given
step by step to help guide you along.
Also, there is a diagram on the back of this sheet that will help you in
setting up your card correctly.
Remember that we will be playing the game and may use your card, so valid,
understandable clues are important.
1.
Randomly pick two color-coded slips of paper. Each slip of paper is color-coded
according to region and represents the city to which you have been assigned. Make sure you do not have two cities from
the same region.
2.
Using the Internet, research your cities. Take notes on the graphic organizer
provided.
3.
Use each of the Five Themes to write
a clue or question about your city (i.e. one question for each - location,
place, movement, human-environment-interaction, and region).
·
Type your name in the bottom right hand corner.
·
Locate
a picture of a unique and interesting physical or human characteristic of your
city. Insert the picture on the top half of the card.
·
Find a
map that shows the location of your city in relation to the region of the world
it is in and copy/paste it onto the
bottom half of the card.
·
Type
each of the five clues on the back
of the card. Number them in reverse
order. (This is how we will score
points – 5 for a correct answer on the first clue, 4 for a correct answer on
the second clue, etc.)
·
Type
the answer at the bottom.
