We are working on Unit 2 in Math. It is VERY important for students to be competent with their basic facts to be successful in this unit. It will be beneficial for you to help your child become proficient with basic multiplication, addition, and subtraction facts. The Everyday Mathematics program assumes students have mastered these facts.

Developing/Secure goals in Unit 2:

• Rounding numbers to specific place values (i.e.ones, hundreds, tenths)
• Making estimates for products of multi digit numbers including decimals
• Know place value to billions
• Find the sum and difference of multi digit numbers including decimals
• Identify the maximum, minimum, median, mode, and mean for a data set
